Clinique Merlot Long Last Lipstick Swatch
The color Merlot is part of Clinique's Long Last lipstick line and has a soft shine finish. I do think the finish description is accurate. The color is sheer but buildable. It does sink into my lip lines, but it was not extremely noticeable until it starts to wear away after about three hours. I do normally have drinks and snack while wearing lipstick. It has a noticeable sheen to it throughout wear, which I think is nice. Although this lipstick was comfortable to wear, it is a pretty standard lipstick. I don't think you need to spend the money on this item to get this type of product. A few great drugstore lines that come to mind as performing better are Milani Color Statement, Revlon Super Lustrous, and Maybelline Color Sensational.
You can also find better products within the Clinique product line if you are interested in the brand and prefer a fragrance free product. If you like an opaque lipstick then I'd look into the Pop Lip Colors that they have. If you like something sheer to buildable, the Chubby Stick Intense line does have less product, but preforms better for the same price.
