MAC Verve Lipstick Review
MAC has 8 different lipstick finishes and verve is a satin. If you are familiar with MAC lipstick then this less shiny than a cremesheen and has more shine than a matte. It is also more pigmented than a cremesheen, but slightly less pigmented than a matte. These are the only finishes I can compare them to, because I have only tried MAC's lustres, cremesheens, and mattes.
There is a slight drag during application, but I don't think it is uncomfortable. A balm underneath can help with this, but depending on how slick it is, it may dilute the color. Verve is close to opaque after one pass on me, and has a slight sheen. I think the satin finish lipsticks can be good for those that want more lasting time than the cremesheen formula, but don't like the dryness of a full on matte. The formula of this lipstick is kind of thick in a way, you can definitely feel it on the lips. There is minimal transfer and it still looks good after snacking and drinking.
