Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Brash Bronze Review

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Defining Eyeshadow Wet/Dry

Pictured below are swatches of the shade 01 Brash Bronze (luminous finish).  This line of eyeshadows comes in 18 shades and four different finishes.  In different lighting this color can appear cooler toned and less bronze, so I suggest taking a look at the color in person to see how it looks against your skin tone.

I had my eye on this for months, but the combination of it's retail price of $25 and the fact that it looked similar to Mac bronze, kept me from taking it home.  Then one day while on vacation, I came across it at a CCO for $17.50; so I decided to finally give it a try.  If you don't know what a CCO store is, you can read my blog post on it for more information.

I'm really glad I finally bought this, and I have no complaints.  I like to keep things simple and brash bronze lets me do that by using it most often for a one shadow look.  This eyeshadow appears bright when applied to the lid, but appears dark and creates depth when placed in the crease, making it perfect for a one shadow look.  If I'm feeling fancy, I'll add a matte shade as a transition, but not often.  The shadow is easy to pick up on a brush, but works equally well with fingers.  I haven't experienced fallout, nor have I noticed any fading throughout the day.  I should mention, this shadow can be used wet.  I personally don't ever use eyeshadow wet, so I can't speak to that functionality.

I know it is a high price point, but since it is the only thing needed to get a complete look, it can be used alone.  This is just a great eyeshadow and I highly recommend you go to an Estee Lauder counter and check it out for yourself.  If you're feeling bold and want to get this sight unseen, it is available for purchase at Nordstrom.
