Nude Lip color

Finding a nude lip color is no easy task for most of us. The thing to keep in mind when looking for one and taking recommendations, is that a nude lip color is going to be different for everyone. The goal is for your lips to look close to their natural color, but for you to look more pulled together overall. So here are three lip products that are nudes for me personally. They could work for you, or they could be wrong, but hopefully this might give you a starting point of reference if your lips have a pinky brown tone to them like mine.

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sunbaked 044, $7.99 @ Walgreens.com - Great moisturizing formula, lasts for about 4 hours but that comes with some stickiness. I wouldn’t wear it on a date, you might end up with food stuck to your lips, which would be awkward.

Loreal Colour Riche Caresse Lipstick in Silky Java 180, $9.99 @ Drugstore.com - This is a lip balm type formula, so you will need to touch up after drinks and meals. In general you won’t get much lasting power, you’ll use it as you would a chapstick. I prefer this formula to the revlon lip butters and I realize I am in the minority, but although the revlon lip butters give you a better color pay off, for me they cause chapped lips.

e.l.f. Essential Lipstick in Fantasy 7701, $1.00 @ eyeslipsface.com - Nice color and it doesn’t dry out my lips. In general these don’t last very long unless you use a blotting and layering technique, they break easily (so you may need to start using a lip brush), and they can be hard to twist up. But for $1, I’d say it could be worth the hassle if there is a color you like.
