Winter Makeup for Dry Skin

All of us get a little drier in the winter, but when you already had dry skin to start it can be a pain. Here are some cream products that I have in my collection that don’t accentuate dryness. Hopefully if you are looking for something that won’t dry you out further, these items will also work for you.

Cream Blush

Nars The Multiple Stick in Malibu - $39.00 @ Nars Cosmetics

Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips & Cheeks in Raspberry - $26.00 @ Bobbi Brown Cosmetics

Cream Eye Shadow

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Pomegranate Punk - $6.99 @ Drugstore.com

Loreal Infallible in Bronzed Taupe - $7.95 @ Target.com

e.l.f. Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Turkish Coffee - $2.00 @ eyeslipsface.com

Maybelline Color Tattoo and Loreal Infallible

Note: Loreal Infallible eyeshadows are described as having a “powder-cream texture,” so you may not consider them cream eyeshadows but they do have a very creamy texture in my opinion.

Cream Highlighter/Blush/Bronzer Palette

Laura Mercier Bonne Mine/Healthy Glow Creme color Palette - $48.00 @ Laura Mercier

Some things to keep in mind about this palette is that it is versatile and also that pictures of the palette itself or its swatches do not do it justice. I haven’t been able to get one picture of these items in the pan or in a swatch to show true to color. I’ve also been unable to find other pictures online that show true to color of the one I own. So I’ve done my best to give you an idea of how these items look, but you really have to get your hands on this item to really see the true beauty of it. The versatility I mentioned is in regard to how you use each product. For example there is one blush that is too light for me to use on its own, but I could mix it with the darker blush to make it wearable. Another example is that the bronzer veil is too light to use for bronzer on my skin tone, but it comes off as a beautiful highlight on me. So for me this palette has 3 different highlighters and 2 blushes (one with the darker color by itself and one with the lighter color and darker mixed). Also note that I did not include a swatch for the second blush color.
